Acceptable Use

Updated June 19, 2026

Measure artifacts. Do not turn an emotional instrument into a weapon against people.

Security and access

Do not probe, scan, exploit, disrupt, overload, bypass limits, introduce malware, obtain unauthorized access, or access another person's account or data. Good-faith security research must follow the published reporting process.

Rights and content

Do not submit content you lack permission to process, infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights, expose another person's confidential information, impersonate others, or use the service for fraud, harassment, stalking, exploitation, or illegal surveillance.

High-impact use

Do not use a measurement as the sole basis for decisions affecting employment, housing, credit, insurance, education, healthcare, legal rights, or essential services. Do not present inferred emotion as a diagnosis or verified fact about a person.

Platform abuse

Do not scrape or resell the service at scale, evade usage controls, reproduce protected datasets or methodology, benchmark for a competing public claim without disclosing methodology, or remove notices and attribution. Written enterprise or API terms may authorize specific automated use.

Enforcement

We may limit or suspend access, preserve evidence, and notify affected parties or authorities when reasonably necessary. Context and proportionality matter; this policy does not require automatic punishment for every mistake.
